Here are some prayer needs for March:
1. Pray for me as I prepare two lectures on Jonathan Edwards to be given at the Southern Baptist Founder’s Conference in St. Louis, March 11-13. Also please pray for Debbie’s strength. Right now she is planning to go with me. Pray that she will be strong enough to go.
2. Be praying for me as I finish work on the next issue of Teaching Resources. It is on the Resurrection and I need to get it completed and to the print ASAP so it can be sent out in a few weeks.
3. Starting March 2nd, I will be preaching a 3 sermon series on Suffering for the Glory of God. I will be condensing 8 messages that I preached in a Bible Conference in St. Louis last month. Pray that I can be clear while being “brief.” Also pray these messages will be helpful to people at the Bible Church. We have 5 people dealing with very serious cancers at the church.
4. Pray for me as I work to put together our summer Youth Missions trip to Reynosa, Mexico, June 22-29. We will be going with Missions Discovery. This will be the first ever trip for the Youth at Cabot. Pray for participation and support for these young people, and that some will gain a heart for missions from the trip.
5. I’m working on plans for my return to Ukraine in April and to Belgium in May. I’m also in the process of selecting school to teach at next year. Pray for me during this process. I like going back to the same schools but I always want to be sensitive to the Lord’s leading. Also pray for my time. As you can see, I’m quite busy.
6. Also continue praying for Debbie. Her latest scans were inconclusive–some the same (no growth) some not so good (but not terrible). She began a new treatment on Monday (Feb. 24th) to hopefully slow the cancer growth. She is increasingly weak. It is hard to plan not knowing what her condition will be, but we feel I need to continue to minister as long as the Lord keeps the door open. I always pray (and ask you to do the same) that I will be able to be home when she is the sickest. So far, God has always granted that.
Thanks for your prayers and support!
